International Conference on Information Technology 

The ICIT international conference on Information Technology started in 1998, after a  national conference on the topic was held in Bhubaneswar, India in 1997 under the leadership of Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty.

Since then the conference has been held annually. The conference is supported by the Orissa Information Technology Society (OITS) and IEEE. Its proceedings in 2006 was published by IEEE and current efforts are on for a similar arrangement in 2007.
